SANFORD
- Here are the results for the Week 12 CarolinaPreps.com Top-25 Media Poll.  Thanks again as always for voting.

Once again the top six spots remain the same. Butler received 17 of the 22 first-place votes to stay in first place in front of arch-rival Independence. The  two rivals will play each other this Friday at Independence High School in Charlotte.

Moving up into the top 10 is Dudley after defeating rival Page last Friday. The Panthers have been on a steady climb thorough the rankings after an early non-conference loss to the third place team Ragsdale.

Two other teams on the move come from the Triangle region. Both Harnett Central and Wake Forest-Rolesville are 10-0 and have locked up conference championships.  Harnett Central defeated Southeast Raleigh, a previous top-10 team 36-22, while Wake Forest-Rolesville defeated Raleigh Millbrook 48-0.

Two teams that dropped in the rankings were Greensboro Page and West Forsyth. Page was previously ranked 11th but dropped to 20th after losing to Dudley 18-15 while West Forsyth dropped to 22nd after a 14-9 loss to 10th ranked R.J. Reynolds.

The rankings did have two additions with Newton-Conover and Kannapolis Brown joining the rankings. Both teams are 9-1 and both look to return to the state finals once again this year.

Falling from the rankings is Fayetteville Westover and Southern Pines Pinecrest.

Several other teams keep moving up in the votes received category and are just on the outside looking in.  Monroe and Belmont South Point both missed the top-25 by six points and Apex Middle Creek, South Rowan, and South Johnston were also very close to breaking through into the rankings for the first time.
